I just put up the new Armor Contest for image entries of AFV vehicles and the like. We will be doing this each month for a while (or as long as Mission Models find the arrangement worthwhile).

Make sure to read the maximum image standards for the contest! The images must be processed to the correct sizing or the submission will be returned and not quailify.

Check the details out here:

Armor Shootout!

If you have comments or feedback please leave it here.

Thanks,
Jim

Paulo,
Yes and no. You can submit images (up to 5) of a piece we already have here. But since many of the images here have been re-processed and refined by me, then original images (that meet the contest requirements!) would need to be supplied for the contest. This contest is a lot about how good your kit making AND online photography/graphics skills are.

Cheers,
Jim

I see there is a viewing fase and a voting fase.......do they both get the same amount of days?
I.e.: For the competition of july, does the viewing fase end around 15 july and the voting fase on 31 july? Or will there be an other distribution?

And another question: If i send a mail with pictures, do i have to mention my callsign, or will my email adress be enough?

Thanks

Dolf

Dolf - You are correct. This is the plan.

While the voting will be limited to Armorama members (to keep down improper voting practices), the contest itself is open to anyone. So only your email is needed. The entries themselves will be devoid of credit until after the contest ends.

I know what you mean penpen. Everytime I think I am becoming a really good modeler, I came here and once again become humbled.

I see two possible ways I can win this contest... no... three!
1) All users whose screenname dosen't start with a 'Y' is disqualified
2) My models create a strong sympaty vote
or 3) I actually start working on my models so they actually look good!

Cool contest, Jim! We ought to start calling you 'Feature Man'! :-)
I still like 'Captain Jim', though... Aye matey!
