Too bad the set doesn't have the driver's rotating periscope...

Appears to have the flimsy tin rack, but no tins? Nice storage, I have to see if I can sell this purchase to the holder of my purse strings.

Academy kit is much better then the Tamiya but probably has inaccuracies. Maybe AFV would come out with one with full interior?

Hi Dennis -- I don't see it in their catalog. Sent them an inquiry so let's see if we can get a reply on their plans. Cheers, Tat

Here's a great way to add character to your Grant, and who's to say that these won't work on a Lee as well? Most of it seems to be fairly generic "M3" stuff.

Hi Dennis -- ByoungKwon KIM, owner of SOL Model replied that whilst there are no current plans for the M3, he will review the requirement. Cheers, Tat

Actually, the Lees in European service pretty much all had the modified stowage boxes that eventually the Grants sported as well. In neither case will the rear deck stowage fit so, along with the rotor cover on the 75mm, this seems pretty specific to desert Grants early in their deployment.

Lees and Grants in England were only used training and would never have been allowed to swan around the countryside looking this tatty. The RSM would blow a gasket. This sort of "slovenly soldiering" is the sort of thing that only shows up on operations.

So if you can find photos of Lee Mk Is in the desert or middle east, you can use the front stowage and possibly the rotor cover, but the rear deck stowage will be unusable.

I also don't think I've seen the "Sunshade" rails on anything but a Grant. So those are not transferable either.

The PE is good generic M3 stuff and mostly usable by either variant.
