I Just receives my figures from Blackdog. As usual, online store is quick and efficient and I even got a gift ;-)

Below you can find highlight on french moder soldiers based on operation "vigipirate/sentinelle" currently occuring in France.
I think these figures can be used and transformed with small efforts for other conflicts such as Mali or Afghanistan.
The only annoying points are the beret which does not seem very accurate, the rifle you will have to repair and the helmet which is the very old one.
Another strange point is that on one of the figures the hand and the helmet are moulded as the same piece...

For the other set, french modern tank crew I do not have specific comments so far.

Stay tuned as I will build and paint these ones very soon

You can have a lot of variations in the French berets. The insignia should be more forward.

the rifle you will have to repair

Definitely something BD should take care of. An infantry FAMAS would have been great too.

and the helmet which is the very old one.

Not that old, it is currently being phased out. But you're right, the new model would have been a better choice.

Well the helmet is ugly and not accurate. The new model is close to the Israeli model with a large plastic shell covering the earpieces.

Thanks for sharing the pictures. I'm glad that French figures generate some interest among non-French manufacturers.

it seems more to be a map than a book

Are the tankers maybe more appropriate for an AFV crew vs MBT crew?

I think they can be used for both of them but you will find more references with this kind of crew for AFV such as French VBCI.

Figures quality is good and assembling all the parts is quite straight forward. See pictures below.
