I am looking for a metal gun barrel for my M1A1/A2. I found this one it is a 120mm M256.
Would this one work for an A2?

Yes, the M1A1 and M1A2 both use the same M256 120 mm main gun.

The original M1 version had the 105mm main gun.

Hi;

There are quite A few AM Barrels that you can sourse, if you go on ebay & type in Metal Barrels 120mm for M1 you will have A Wide choice for A type of kit. ie) Tamiya, Dragon, Trumpeter etc;
