What do you do with your dios after they are complete? Do you place them in a case or build a cover? Are they placed around your house? Do you give them away or sell them?

When I finally have my hobby room built, I will proudly display them. Unfortunately, until then my dios will have to remain hidden in boxes.

Ola People
Well Having not such a big Modeling corner and definately not my own museum I have to display all my models in a homemade cabinet. Half of this cabinet is covered with glass the other half is closed. Everytime I have made something new, Something old moves to the closed part of the Cabinet.
And Every now and then I bring something that I just finished to the local hobbyshop where I buy a lot of stuff. Fun thing is that I brought a SdKfz 250/10 in polish service and they made some sort of display of it while standing on the Boxes of the kit quite a funny sight that was. Putting things in the display cases at modeling shops is something I do for the last couple of years and it saves some space in my cabinet too :-) :-) :-)

I am setting all my models in the basement until I can find somewhere else to put them or move again.

So just put them in the basement! :-)

I build an enclosure that runs the length of my hobby room with 3 tiers of shelving. Most of my larger dios are placed on the tiers. I designed it so that an 18gallon Rubbermaid storage container can fit between the floor and the lowest tier. I have close to 15 such containers storing my spare parts. I also have a lot of shelf space in my home office where I display some of my smaller dios. As I am getting better at modeling, I have recycled many vehicles, figures and accessories from earlier dios, eliminating some of the ugly first tries.

Well, I haven't done much until now ( I seriously started modelling just last year) so I Haven't got not much to display until now... So the few models I've built, are on top of my closet...(which isn't very high...) That's the problem of not having a private room to use. Well hope to buy a new house next year to have a room just for me...

Well IF I ever finish my first Dio that I've been working on now since November I plan on finding room on the huge bookshelf I am in the process of building.
It's going to take up an entire wall in the entry room of the house, so there should be plenty of room for a few completed Dio's or models. I will also have room for all of those reference books I seem to be accumulating as of late.

I play a game called http://wwiionline.com where I have a squad of guys that I play with. I used to build models when I was a kid (almost 20 years ago), and started up again because of this game (I have always been a wwii historian, but never thought of doing models) Now every model I do goes to a squadie I play with. It's pretty neat for them, because I ask them what they like playing the most in game i.e. tanks, planes, boats, infantry etc. and they get a model of it.
I'm still learning the process of model making, but these guys have been very supportive (and happy) to get models of their online hobby. One thing I can say is this site has given me many tips and tricks to improve my models, and for that I am very happy for it.
This was the latest I've done, it's a FlakVierling38 (Tamiya)

I bought an IKEA high bookcase with double glass doors. Thats where all my finished work goes. Its in the living room where I can look and dream!! After 3 years modelling its starting to really fill up now. I´ll probably take older models out and keep the better stuff there!

Having been reminded by my wife that our house is not painted in camo, my stuff stays in my "playroom"..."NO GURLS ALLOWED!"

I have 2 in museums at the moment soon to be joined by a third. I loan them out once I'm done showing them at the local shows. I don't get anything special for it, just the satisfaction that my work is being viewed and enjoyed instead of being stored in a plastic box.
