Hi All,
To make a postwar NVA vehicle is it just a case of adding Mini-art "T-34/85 Running gear late type" (when it comes out) to their Su-85 Mid-Production kit? Or maybe they intend bringing out a late version?
THanks,
Andy

Andy,
I thought that the NVA only had SU 100s in their early days; however, more than happy to be corrected.

Cancel my last - clearly finger trouble.
As I say, more than happy to be corrected!
I imagine that the later pattern wheels (finned/perforated type) would add greatly to the version you might be planning to do.
'Look forward to seeing whatever you devise; early NVA stuff is pretty rare on the display tables and Warsaw Pact stuff is close to my heart.

After a search through my refs I found several pics of SFL-85's in KVP/NVA service. Most had the earlier wheels with examples of the later wheels mostly being seen on Su-85T conversions. So that gives me a bit of choice.

Andy

I've caught up with my references (actually a bit sparse)but I note a reasonable picture in the Tankograd Militaerfahrzeug 2/2004 of an SU 85; no markings are discernible and the actual wheel type is indistinct. I imagine the crew would have worn the blue coveralls with brown leather (WW 2 type tank)helmets and Panzer Pink waffenfarbe.
Such a populated model would look quite impressive on the tables I think; I'm only sorry I haven't gotten around to it myself!
