Jim -
First I do love this site more thant the other modeling sites i visit.
The community is exceptional, as is the PHP Board and gallery, etc
Reviews, HowTo's etc.
I would like to ask you to think this over, and dont want to put you in a bad postion, or "on the spot," if I do, I apologize.
If someone would develop a scifi Focus can we use it?
I know the site is called ARMORama
Its just its a great place, and sure we can go visit other sites, and I do, but this place is in a league of its own.
I currently use the Aircraft focus, it seems less overt now that we're looking at models in the upper left corner. (Very Cool, new feature/look.)
Can those models in the upper left corner be made "hot?"
I've seen a few beauties and clicked on them, I thought I would go to the builders gallery, but no luck...
Anyway if the focus is staying, and someone is willing, would you entertain it?
Thanks for a great site and community.

Sci-Fi/Space is a definate "possibility". We already have that area as a section in features, reviews, and campaigns obviously. If there were enough content submissions for it then I would consider making it a focus. However I think we have only published "1" sci-fi feature to date (and that was during the content contest we ran in 2002).
I will likely make the upper image "hot" when I get the time. Lot's of projects ongoing.
Cheers,
Jim

I only see sci-fi as an aside to my modeling preferences. I've hung out at Starship Modeler before Armorama existed. Some of the hardcore Trek and Star Wars fans are as nitpicky as German/Sherman armor modelers.
I use it as a way to build something out of the ordinary (when's the last time you saw a built kit of a TIE tank?) that no one can question. I may be in a sci-fi kick at the moment, but it usually doesn't last more than a couple of kits.

I've got a few ideas to get more sci-fi activity... Give it time. :-)

I'd like to see a Sci-Fi Focus - I'd likey change my preference setting.
Now, how to generate more material to get Jim's attention...
