Didn't Dragon release this several years ago? Or is it "new" because it comes with crew? At least Dragon is giving us a second chance to buy those kits which disappeared off the shelf.

Yes they did; I picked one up cheap @ a contest in IL; decent but fiddly with some fit issues; had 4 figures; indi-link tracks a nightmare; replaced them with a spare set; would build it again IF it's a new and truly improved kit

Wonder which boxing this kit is. The Kirin/Gunze one is from the 90s.

Can't believe that there is so little new stuff to develop (like the Uhu kit!) that they have to re-release an old Kirin kit and make it sound like something new and amazing! Dragon listen closely: release new items, especially soft skin support vehicles or anything that actually existed!

I have the cyber hobby kit # 6673 from a few years ago. It is a fairly good kit. Not sure if it is a paper panzer or not???

I thought I was commenting on the PZ 1 with 7.5 on it. I do have this one also as smart kit # 6470, also not a bad offering. It is better than the old Kirin kit.

No, dhines, this wasn't a paper panzer as it was very much in general and wide spread use among panzer and even infantry divisions as their organic self-propelled artillery to provide mission fire support.

Thank you Frank, I just have never seen a pic of a 7.5 mounted on a PZ 1.

Kirin released a Grille kit back in days of yor. Dragon then reboxed it with Dragon figures.- this is why it says imperial series on the Dragon Box...Imperial = not Dragon Mold

------can't say for sure but I think the later Grille and 38t kits had SOME improved parts, notably the road wheels. In the Kirin/Imperial releases the wheels are devoid of detail on the inside. Ironically way back when Maquette of all companies had the only detailed 38t wheels. I ended up using them on the Kirin kit which is now in my donor/spares "garage" lol

This is probably a re issue of the contents of smart kit 6470 rather than the ancient Dragon imperial series piece. Some pieces date back to ki-rin but there's much that was improved over the decades.

So this is only a reissue of something eight years old, not 20 years old? And since I missed out on it and have not had any luck finding it, it's on the buy list.

And DS tracks will be welcome. The fingers can't handle link to link 38t track.

I feel your pain. I picked up the Amusing 38t self propelled mortar (paper panzer). It has multi-piece tracks with tiny plastic connectors!!

Hello Dhines, I'm not sure what it is that you're looking at, but this is a 15cm howitzer mounted on a redundant 38t chassis. I think that you're thinking about that other Dragon kit, and ya, that one is kind of silly and top-heavy!
