Here's a scratch build project for your Trumpy MAZ chassis!

I was playing with my new 4k TV watching videos on YouTube so why not abandoned soviet military equipment. The video is of an abandoned soviet army base and there lots of Kraz tractors and MAZ based TELs for an S-300 regiment in the equipment just left to rot, but in just one shot there's this monster!

I assume it's some kind of command post or maybe generator set but it has to be huge, like Topol or Yars TEL sized, or longer by the wheel size and spacing, and it doesn't look articulated. Can you imagine the turning radius?

Anyone have any idea what it is, or even better have other pictures?

Where is the vid ?

From this angle , it almost looks like two separate trucks backed into each other ,
Look at the sight line changes mid-monster .

Pfft - I know squat about this , ho ho

I agree with Keith, while these vehicles do look somewhat different from the standard models, but I think the photo is of two of the same vehicle parked back to back.

These MAZ "living quarters" trucks have a hugh rear overhange hence the appearent odd wheel spacing.

It's clearly two separate vehicles parked back to back. The angle at the top of the vertical side of the body is not aligned between them.

Robin perhaps I should have captioned my photo above but I did not think it was necessary: Shown in the photograph is the "production" version of the Russian RV Crew Accommodations vehicle.

The photo posted by Jamie appears to be two non-standard variants of this accommodations vehicle. They sport a four man cab and carry some different gear between the wheels down below the belt line. I have never seen those exact vehicles before.

Here is a shot of the Accommodations vehicle being used in conjunction with an A-222 Bereg unit.

I think it was the four man "scud" style cab that threw me.

Well that and wanting to have found some extra impressive new giant russian truck.

Thanks everyone.

Hi Michael,
I don't think it was necessary to caption the image of the mobile living quarters either, I think the identity has been settled satisfactorily earlier in this thread
I posted, just for the fun of it, two other large trucks in case someone was interested in multi-wheel trucks.
