Hi, gents!

Iīm not sure if this is the right topic to show finished works. If not, please excuse me. Moderators can move it to the right place.

I want to show you my 2nd diorama (by now) and the first one I made in a desertic location. I wanted to represent a team of USAF Pararescue recovering an Iraqi Armed forces wounded by an IED, destroying their humvee. Also a US Army M2A2 Bradley providing security and deploying a Green Berets ODA.

Iīd appreciate your comments, would be very useful.

Hope you like it.

Cheers!!

Looks great overall. Good job on the Pave Hawk and having it suspended. The Bradley and HMMWV look good, but the pre/post shading are way overdone in my opinion. Solid colors look better to me as I have never see a vehicle that looks like that in my 23 years of service. Also, a Special Forces A Tm would not deploy from a Bradley. The guys coming out of it would be regular infantrymen.

I really like the thinking about how to "suspend" the helicopter and I realize that it takes something of good stature to do the job... however, it makes the rope look way out of scale. No rope that I know of would be that thick except a towing hawser on a tug or freighter.

That one little detail just sticks out with me but overall, it is a great diorama and you did great with work with it. I am not familiar with uniforms, camo schemes, etc as many here are so I overlook stuff like that.

Great job and you are in the correct place.

Thanks for your comments!! Maybe the Bradley is overdone, youīre right. This was my first armored vehicle Iīve ever done. Iīll take your advice for the next one!

Why A-Teams would not deploy from a Bradley?? I didnīt know that. I really wanted those figures would be SF because itīs the branch of my airsoft team, so "we" must be in the dio

Thanks again for your words!

Thanks for your comments, Patrick.

Youīre not the first one that appreciate the thickness of the rope. Thatīs a good observation.

About camos, PJs and Green Berets wear Multicam pattern (At least is what I tried to dol) and Iraqui forces Desert 3C. Timeline is about 2009.

Thanks for comment!

The rope is actually pretty close to scale. It is not just any rope, but a fastrope, which is pretty thick to allow the Soldiers to slide down it like a fire pole.

Some of the technical issues aside your dio captures the drama and tension of the operation it depicts. The helo looks especially good to me. Very nice effort for only a seond attempt.

Thank you very much for your words. The helo was the work I enjoyed most. Very funny to work on the cargo bay details.
