Does anyone make a barrel for the Takom series of T-55 with the AM barrels? I have two of those kits and they have a a barrel assembled down the middle and I would really like to update them. Any suggestions without having to buy the whole Miniarm or Miniart update kit? I saw one on Ebay last night. I am just after the barrel. Thanks.

The barrels made for the Tamiya T-55's should be compatible with the Takom kits, but I haven't confirmed that.
Magic Models makes a T-55AM barrel with the thermal wrap also for the Takom kits, if you need one those.

I used the kit barrel without any problems. The way it is engineered the top seam virtually disappears leaving the much easier bottom seam to clean up. The top seam abuts or is slightly under the vane that runs down the length of the barrel and once the two halves are joined becomes invisible. At least that's how it worked out for me.

I don't think they are. I used a resin barrel for the Tam kit on my Takom AM and I had to make modification to the barrel and kit to make it work.

I think all these Russian wrapped barrels would be perfect for 3D printing. No more messing around with photo etch straps and buckles. It would make it much easier on us.
