Meng Model continues to build up the anticipation on its upcoming Tiger II release. Here's the latest -- a set of partially built-up photos showing off the details they have put. And if my eyes don't fool me, I see that they've even simulated texture on the kit surfaces!

It looks good. I wounder why they molded the turret roof separate? Maybe to remove it to show an interior? I am waiting until the release and am hoping it will make it to the retailers in January.

I agree the texture, and welds are great, and the color of the plastic should help with the weathering effects. Meng seems to do the little things to make a good model. It's going in my stash for sure! OH YA, Happy Holidays and New year to all !!

Odd that Meng didn't open up the perscope holes in the copula and provide complete periscopes for the purpose.

I prefer light grey plastic, easier to work with, see what you are doing. Does look cool though, right!

Looks nice, but what do I do with the six variants that I have from Dragon?

Do not trash them. Compare the parts SBS when you get the Meng kit. Dragon kits are good for spares, as well as kitbashing...
Besides, you can always go the Ebay and MSC conventions route to trade them...

True, but I figure that I'll make do as part of modelling is overcoming adversity and stupid instructional errors, the likes of which Dragon is profoundly and uncommonly good at, if the Stug 3 F-8 kit that I'm currently building is any indication, so I'll probably soldier on and build them and hope for the best. Then maybe buy the Meng...

To my knowledge, the only bug in their KT instructions is 'plank' at upper turret front (part number O8). It is shown upside down.
