Wasn't this kit released way back in 2003 kit number 6189,I recognize some of the old sprues.
Bit lazy if you ask me same box art and a few new parts thrown in with added zimmerite
Thanks for the review anyway saves me wasting my money.
Sorry Dragon must try harder.

I do not have the old kit and I am not overly bothered as I suspect that it is not that easy to get hold of. What I do care about is that this model is available and has all of the parts except the metal barrel that made Dragon so popular in the past.

I've just built this for an article. They've cut corners and I love Dragons kits. Some of the etch is very poor and is meant to replace some plastic items. Which were ok,but are missing from this kit,so you either use them or raid the spares boc. Some of the etch chain doesn't fit over the parts they are meant to. A bit of a let down. I'm building their mid Tiger I at present and love it. A shame they just didn't release the old kit with the crane.

I just wonder how many times that Dragon is going to spruce up a kit and re-release it, hoping to draw new fans to the brand. Maybe not the way to do it unless it is a BIG improvement over the six or so other releases of this kit (I own five of them!)

What about the poor schmuck who missed the previous five issues and this is his first chance to get this? I guess it's okay for him to not get anything because it's not new to you.
It's nice that Dragon tweaks their reissues, though it would be preferable for them to be more consistent in making changes for the better as opposed to just any old change just for the heck of it.

Thanks for the review!
So all in all this kit is nothing more than a re-release of Dragons 6302 with Magic Tracks but less PE and less possible schemes for ~+15$/€?

They do that as well, its not that I oppose improvement, I just hate the merry-go-round approach on re-releases as you wonder when the heck to jump on board before the next incarnation. Sort of like Apple products that way...
