What is that, an anchor point for MG cover? Funny all the Dragon Tiger I's are missing this very important detail! Someone should have informed them.

Yes, thats what I gather, it was an anchor point for the MG ball mount seal plug. Someone correct me if Im incorrect. I thought it is very odd that I have never seen this before today after all the books, photos, websites, models Ive seen of the T1

The tab was a feature added as of June 1943 to secure a chain holding a sealing plug for the bow mounted Mg34 ball mount.
This feature may not have been common to all Tigers after that date.
