After finishing my Challenger with enhanced armor it put me in the mood to do a Warrior infantry vehicle and possibly a AS90 155 howitzer anyway back to the Warrior I have Academy's
Warrior MCV iraq 2003 kit and I was wondering if that would be the correct varient to build as the current incarnation of the Warrior to go with my challenger and if not what do i need to do to the Warrior to build that varient

the version you require at the moment is on hold, it is by a company called Castoff,(cromwell sold moldings to castoff a few years back),
you may find the odd one on E bay
Warrior WRAP2 conversion kit
Ref: CR049
for Afganistan you will need to scratch build it.

Which Challenger 2 kit did you finish? The most up to date one looks like this:
While the earlier ones (like Tamiya kit) looked like this:
If the latter, you might get away with the Academy Warrior without many changes. Otherwise to do a right up to date one you're SOL.

I took components from trumpeter's kit of the enhanced armor with the slat armor i=on the turret and rear quarters of the hull in essence like the top pic on your post i also found out the only conversion set to that is no longer available

What is that stuff that's all over the top of the turret? Netting of some sort?

The current version of the Warrior is a couple of steps beyond the WRAP 2 conversion that was available.
Nobody at this point has it available. That could be taken as a challenge if anyone out there is interested.
With the impending 432 Trojan series due for release by Takom, I can see the possibility of the 'Bulldog' versions following on.
That said, no reason the plastic Warrior cannot be redone or updated by the manufacturer.

I don't think anything not in a combat zone has the add-on armor mounted.
On a related note, I've got the Accurate Armour bits for the MAOV (artillery observation) that I don't think I'm going to be using.
