Hello--new to the forum and just getting back into modeling after raising kids and fighting off cancer. Anyway, I have a question about Fruilmodel tracks. I have recently purchased ATL-22 (King Tiger) tracks and I am absolutely clueless on how these parts go together? Directions are lacking any description and there are no pictures included for me to use as a guide. I have contacted the manufacturer and scoured the internet for any video/pictures on these specific tracks. All of the "how to" videos contain pieces that look very different or they don't correspond to the pieces that came with this particular kit. Anyone with experience? Thanks for any help.

Hey Mike,

first of all congrats to your victory over that cancer.

And now to your question:

http://www.panzer-modell.de/ausgepackt/archiv/friul/22.htm

this site should help you. It is written in german language but the pictures should speak for itselves. If there are any problems/more questions don't hesitate to ask me, i can help you to translate the necessery informations.

Oh and the part with the CA glue.. i'd say not to use it if you are going to use blackening agents. It prevents the spots with glue on it to react with the agent and you'll get nasty spots still silver/brass color you have to paint by hand.

cheers Chris

Here you can see where the connecting links go on either side of the main part of the track.

Could you describe the pieces or maybe post a picture of the track parts ?

I presume that they don't look like these:

Some kind of photo album page with images of ATL-22 and the contents of the box.

Is there a coil, or two, of wire included ??

Mine came with a small jig that held everything together while you inserted the wire.,a little tedious but they went along okay.I thought I might still have it,but I must have tossed it.Maybe Fruil will send one,it should have been in the kit.

One of the very very few things that the members of this Forum can't assist with is a cure for AMS, Advanced Modellers Syndrome,

i believe the Tiger II metal tracks com with a jig, look at these pics. You need a .5 drill bit & pin vice drill.
Drill out all the holes..i use a normal drill, just be carefull.
The following page is in Russian but look very close at the finished track he shows you..copy that using your jig.
http://karopka.ru/community/user/16354/?MODEL=349703
Use the jig & copy the image on the box or below....build 2 then wire them together. Slow process

PS- You don't have to use the metal sprockets that come with the track set. Unless your plastic model ones don't fit the track..then use CA glue to replace your plastic ones.
PSS- yes Anthony has it right..gotta use the jig. Just a view of the final track should be enough to figure out the jig.Dustin has a good shot of the track too.

What I still haven't figured out is how in the hell do you assemble and glue the Magic Tracks that came with the kit !!! They come in pieces just like the Fruils.I usually use the MT's,but I didn't want anything to do with those.
