I am starting a project with a TBD-1 Devastator from VT-8 at Midway. I am not sure if the Great Wall kit has figure(s) for pilot and gunner (I am assuming it only had two crewmen).
Does anyone know of a source for the appropriate figures for this era and aircraft?
Thank you in advance.

These come to my mind (I'm not sure about the time frame though...might be only good for '43-'45).

You will need a crew of three for this aircraft:
Pilot, Torpedo Officer/Navigator, Radioman/Gunner
If your looking for figures to sit in the aircraft, PJ Productions has
some fine looking sitting figures, which would be suitable.

Hope this helps,

This is exactly the information I am seeking. I didn't know if there was a crew of two or three...
In my project, two will not survive but it is important to have the entire crew.
Thank you so much for the link!

For all the VT squadrons at Midway (3,6 and 8 )you only need a crew of two. Pilot and Air gunner. Middle seat was not occupied. VT-8 launched 15 TBD's at Midway and lost 29 of 30 crew, Ensign Gay was only survivor. Also VT-8 had twin 30's in rear gunner position( didn't help much). Also check out YouTube video of colour film of VT-8 prior to Midway. Search under VT-8 Midway. Lots of good stuff there including some nice torpedo decoration. Tempted to get PJ production figures myself but not sure if gunner will fit in rear turret without a lot of cutting and therefore loss of detail. Crew at Midway would also be wearing early style mae west life vest not the type shown in verlinden/ tamiya pilot set. The old Monogram TBD had a standing plot figure that is wearing the right vest. You may want to post on an air modelling site.
Hope this helps

It helps a bunch, Dave!
I know it sounds kind of morbid but I will need the gunner in place, even dead, for my project...
Thanks in advance!
