Home on comp, figured I get back into the building part of this hobby. Bust out the good ole Tamiya Panther G, one of my favorite tanks, I'll just add a few details to it.

Must resist the hammer or AK.

So . . . Does this get chalked up as a failure of Tamiya, or of the aftermarket manufacturer, or . . .?

I decided to use a Royal Model Kugelblende, sanded it down, opened the opening in the Tamiya hull a little bit. Then I added some thin Zap-a-Gap glue to the back, from the inside. A minute later I noticed the Kugelblende not sitting flat, that's when I saw the cracks. I think I have it fixed now and I think under some Mr Surfacer 500 it should be ok.

I think we can consider this operater error. I'll try to get some pics as it goes along.

Btw, I ordered some insect mounting pins for the fruil tracks, just tried them out on a few links, working great.

Got the pins from Amazon, Gold plated because they were Prime eligible. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B006Q2J5WU/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

They're pretty easy to trim.

Not quite snug, but they don't fall out, I need to use the tip of my exacto to get them out.

Pins are great for Fruils,my wife directed me to the local Michael's and I found an appropiate size for my Tiger tracks, very effective.

I use staples in place of pins. Super cheap.
