Now I've started out with the flat black base, and I have some gun metal from MM and I have some Testors flat aluminum oh and I got some rust in the making for about a week now. Would anybody know if these colors will work good, or should I be looking for some different colors. Thank You in advance. Straightedge

I always spray flat dark grey, good dusting with wet chalk pastels, wait for them to dry and then rub the high spots with soft pencil. Flat aluminium might look a little too bright?

I found a piece on painting tracks about 20 pages back, and it said 90% metallic gray, to 10% flat black and equal amount of lacquer thinner, of course this is over flat black base, but I was wodering about the lacquer thinner to thin it with, can you use that?
