Hi there !
It's been a looooong time since I didn't paint and post anything here (or elsewhere..). A 2 years baby girl and a boy planned for next May doesn't help to practice though.. But in between two diapers I've been able to sneak some time on my bench, working on the beautifull and unrivall Alpine figure, the last GI's series. I guess I started to work on them 2,5 years ago
I turned to acrylic paint this time, and I'm discovering a whole new world. Even between acrylic (Vallejo and Jo Sonja) there are diferences in the way to handle them.
So a little teaser below, I think that's the last picture I posted here. This week end I'll take more decent picture and post them here.
Stay tunned.
Julien

ok, so I took my pictures; After 2 years, I heard to relearn that again...
Let's start with the NCO. He's almost done, still to do the white ranking on his helmet, the strap for the carabin, paint the ammo pouch on said carabin and apply matt varnish here and there. I discovered AK Matt varnish, and I must say that for a long time I haven't been so happy with a Matt varnish final result.
Next to come the BAR Gunner.
Any tips or details to correct I wouldn't have seen is more than welcome;
Cheers,
J

I plan a small scene with more Yankees.
This one has been completed 1 year ago
I currently work on the BAR gunner. I made several unsuccessfull tries on his jacket, until I decided to move on with the rest.
and finally a pic of the pair
