I was looking through some sites last night and came across a photo of a Tiger that looks like it's under repair. Not sure if the photo has been re-coloured.
It was on a site called Stukasoverstalingrad.
Tiger from 1.Kompanie s.Pz.Abt.501 Tunisia 1942/43

I have viewed hundreds of Tiger photos and the first time I have seen this one.

What do you make of it?

wow, have not seen it before either, thanks for sharing.

Not sure about colourized, but if it is not original, they have done a very good job...

It's been colorized. There are tiny details that should stand out as specks of contrast which are totally missing here. Waffenfarbe? The collar litzen? The red in the center of the cockade on the cap is black? When something you know to be red shows up black it's a sign of the original being monochrome.

In most color photos of tropical uniforms the orange, blue and green of the tropical litzen and eagle show up. But that's my five cents (I invest more in my opinions so it's five cents rather than two)

Additionally, the piping on the cap is there but is not the different color like it should be. Had to look extra close for that.

He looks more like Robert Shaw from Battle of the Bulge.

It's a colourised photo, from a well-known photo set where Tiger 141 gets an engine change.

This is a good photo of the hub minus a road wheel.

...which was often done as a preventive measure to prevent mud buildup between the wheel and the sprocket freezing at night and immobilizing the tank until it could be melted out.
