Maybe it was only a prototype ?
The wheels look like the almuninium wheels used by the M60 tanks (usually replaced with M48 wheels to increase reliability).
Where did you find the image ? Any clues there ?

This trailer reminds me of the make shift trailers used in the factory where the Centurions were upgraded.
Those trailers where made by suspension parts from the VVSS suspension parts of the Sherman tanks.
Perhaps it is one of those cases where the IDF used old parts to make something useful out of them.

New introduction of old idea. Recovery platform with Paton tanks wheels and track. Similar concept was used several decade ago, and that example can be found at Latrun armored M.

Tracked trailers have been used for tank recovery before,
this one is from WW II and I wouldn't be surprised if there is an even earlier example somewhere.

Yes about that one.
Regarding WWII, I dont claims that we invented the wheel, as I mention, I said that similar concept was used by Israel several decades ago thus presented in Latrun M.

Very Interesting!
I occasionally will see D-Day photos of medium sized tracked US trailers left on the beach. Do not know what they were called so I have never been able to google them. I am sure someone will jump right in on sharing info on this one.
I find both these modern trailers and the WWII tracked trailers something to look into further!
Regards to all!

Yepp, just learned that myself today. NTP stands for "Nose Tankim Pgu'im" (damaged tanks carrier).

The engine-deck mounted exhaust-pipe appeared on the "Degem Gimel" (Type C) around 1975.
