Your outhouse looks really good, however I think the shingles should be shorter and should go vertical instead of horisontal
the soldier looks great

Unless they do things different in the Ukraine, the shinges are ok horizontal. However in order for shingles to work they need to overlap

My 2 cents - horizontal is fine, but it would be best if they overlapped. Here lies a modeling dilema - scale 'look' vs. accuracy. At first look you may not see the flat shingles. I fear that with the thickness of the shingle material if you overlap them the thickness of the roof would not look right.
Personally, I think this one is ok. If it's a 'supporting' item in the dio it wont get as much attention and it could be left alone. If it's going into a competition I'm sure it will get points deducted though.
On to the weathering - Fine job. It looks good, the gray is accurate and well done. I like the black added to the shingles.
You may want to add a handle to the inside of the door. While visiting this spot you want to be able to make sure the door is closed from the inside.
Nice detail on the figure.

Owkwardly, but that's what I meant-that they should overlap, but I still stand behind the shorter shigles

i see what you mean about the overlapping and making them smaller. it would look better but i think its too late for that this time. the outhouse is gonna just be kind off to the side and its not a big part of the dio. just a little something to add flavor. good idea about the handle slodder, i never even thought of that.

Hi meissen. I love the colours you have achieved on the boarded outhouse. If you still feel you are in the dark about washes ... believe me some sun is coming your way. This is exactly how untreated timber looks after a while. The shingles at first glance look great ... the colours are very relistic. I agree with the over-lapping as well, but as a supporting role this will look fine. What are the hinges and door handle supposed to be? If they are metal, I would rust them up a bit to add to the weathered feeling. Sometimes old rubber was used for this reason as well. So that could e another option!
The figure also looks well and his eyes are distinct and and clearly defined. Great work on his peaked cap as well. The only thing I would touch up is his magazine pouches. As far as i know they are made of leather or canvass sort of material(or are usually painted that way) Your look like they are painted black and weathered like the machine gun .... same with his holster. Another thing that i can see from this picture is inside his cuff is the uniform colour. A dark wash in here would give some depth (nit-pick alert). Great work ..... looking forward to the rest of the scene!
