As I was going through my next builds I noticed something. On the decal sheets I have German crosses, and numbers, but no unit markings. Is this something exclusive to Dragon or all manufacturers doing this? Just wondering Cheers

Maybe your Dragon kits are all marked "Unidentified Unit, 194xx".

Correct... some vehicles did not carry any marking other that the crosses, specially at the end of the war.

Later in the war, unit markings on tanks and self-propelled guns began to disappear (there were exceptions, like the 505th Heavy Tank battalion, with its huge charging knight figure painted on the King Tiger turret sides). Presumably, it was a security measure. Rear echelon vehicles generally continued to carry unit markings, though, as did many light armored vehicles, like halftracks.
