I am planning to build a Land Rover Defender based in Iraq, and wonder whether anyone has attempted to replicate Barracuda Camouflage System in small-scale.
One option would be to cover the appropriate areas with Milliput, and add the texture before it is completely cured. However, I imagine it would be fairly difficult to achieve an in-scale thickness. Any further suggestions?
Also (not for this particular model), but does anyone know the exact dimensions (length, width and height)of the TUAAM boxes, commonly fitted to Land Rover vehicles?

I'd suggest the following:

- take thin paper (e.g. wrapping paper you find in new shirts) as a base
- apply a thin coat of white glue
- sprinkle HO-scale leaves (railroad modelling products) onto it and let the glue dry
- cut the paper to shape and glue the different onto the model with CA

I've never tried the abve method for this exact application, but I believe this may lead to nice results... Putty likely won't look the part, I'm afraid.
