Hi Gang, I have been following the HEMMT builds on here and want to use Shapeways brake cylinders on my Italeri kits.
What I need to know is how they fit onto the kit, I have Trumpeter`s wonderful tractor version and thought I could use this as a guide - not a chance !.
Has anyone used these or can anyone provide me with some help before I splash out on these a/m parts.

Mike's 3-D printed brake cylinders are just the cylinder. You have to make the mount for them. This allows you to use them on different vehicles, not just HEMTTs. I only used the front brakes so far and simply mounted them on a piece of rod that I drilled into the backside of the front brake drum.

As Gino says the brake cylinders offered on the Shapeways site are only the cylinders themselves. The mounting brackets must be scratched.

This is a photo of my work on building the mounting brackets, S cams and slack adjusters for the Italeri HEMTT. (Rear brakes) The cylinders in this case are the Trumpeter ones graciously donated by a fellow modeler.

Like Gino I started out drilling the back of the cylinder and adding the actuator rod. Then I built a mounting bracket starting with a large piece of Evergreen "C" channel. The rest are just little bits of roughly shaped plastic.

Thanks for the replies guys. Mike, it`s your work I`ve been drooling over but I think it`s a little beyond my skill level so I`ll have to leave it.
Cheers anyway.
