Just laid my paws on a Trumpeter Type 73 "Light Truck", M P version. My Japanese is non existent. Anybody know what the yellow/ black and red/ white placards on the decal sheet say? Also,do the 5520 or 5572 versions of the kit come with the weapon spue from the recon version? It looks like no, but maybe someone knows something I dont. Domo.

Can you post an image of the decal sheet?

Huzzah! It worked. Also, any clues as to what the white markings above the placards are? Unit markings?

From that image I could find a larger image online that makes the small characters easier to read. Looks like 11 would go with the yellow placards as part of an EOD unit. 9 and 10 are for military police units. 12 I think belongs to JGSDF HQ. 13, 14, and 15 are utility vehicles for the numbered units. 16, 17 and 18 look like warnings about flammable material and no smoking.
Decal 22 says "Unexploded ordnance disposal" and 21 says
"Unexploded ordnance disposal Ground Self Defense Force 102nd Explosive Ordinance Disposal Unit" Decal 23 says "Trailer following"
If there is a particular set of markings you are interested in let me know and I'll double check with my wife--native Japanese.

Thanks, Mark. And tell your wife Domo Arigato. (Bout the extent of my Japanese. ) Now I need to decide if I want to go MP (My uncle was an MP.... Started off with Washington's Provost Guard at Valley Forge. When he retired the sleeve of his dress uniform was yellow from the elbow to the cuff!) or EOD.
