Just wanted to post a little something about these books! The Ian Allen Tanks in Detail books are great!! I have picked up 3 of the 4 currently available (M3 Stuart, M3 Grant, Panther), they are awesome. Most of the books I usually perchase are cheaper Signal/Squadron or Osprey stuff I find at my LHS or Borders Book Store (good in their own way, as I can't afford a $50+ book on Tigers or Shermans), but I would recommend these. For those who have yet to see them (reviewed in the latest TMMI) they contain loads of pictures ranging from outside, close-ups, in action, and interiors! The book on the M3 Stuart is great. Gives breif production history, then moves on through the outside, drivers compartment, fighting compartment (inc. armament), engine compartment etc. Mentions (as well as shows) variants of these AFVs. Great, and cheap too (IMHO)! $20 is about the going price for these babies! Little more expensive than S/S but well worth it!! Just thought I share!!

I agree....there is a book club over here selling them off at £10, I managed to get 3 of them so far, #3 Panzer V Panther, #4 General Lee/Grant, and #5 Panzer VI Tiger I&II. Fantastic pics in them!

Howdy Jason,
I firmly agree! They are superb books. In fact I just quoted one of the pics from the Sherman book on another thread!
