Greetings guys,
Just finished my Takom Whipped. Built OOB, only modifications were drilling holes in guns and exhausts and adding isolation on exhausts. Some problems with alignment of crew compartment panels, but in general, easy and relaxing build.
I was experimenting with heavy mud effects, hope results are satisfying.
Comments and critics welcome.

Sasa, I really like how the areas of mixed wet and dry mud turned out. The effect is very convincing. Great work.

Very nice and impressive finish.
The only detail, in my opinion, is the mufflers who to me appears a bit thick and chubby. The mufflers were wrapped in asbestos rope and then covered with a sheet of metal. I know the Bovington Whippet is missing the metal sheets and the the rope is visible and this feature have become popular to depict among modelers but Takoms mufflers are cast with the metal sheets on so wrapping them with rope, without thinning them down, will make them too thick. Very nice crafting with the wrapping though.

Mats

Nice work, the Germans only captured 2 or so of these (they were just so fast....Whippet..hahaha) Apparently never used against their former owners but I really like your work. Nice job!

Thanks for your reply guys
I didn't know about those metal plates (serves me right when I don't do research) and I agree that the string might look a bit overscaled but I couldn't find anything slimmer, plain thread just didn't look right to me.

Looks great, like the choice of markings, very unusual scheme. The mud is very convincing. Al

If you Google" Bovington Whippet" you will see that the real rope is quite thin so to get that "ropy" look you more or less have to overscale it. As I said, I think you did a fantastic job.
