can someone tell me please if a MCTAGS turret can be mounted on a MTVR with unarmored cab ?

I have a resin conversion from Blackdog but it is unusable because all parts are deformed, very deformed.

Very bad quality control from this brand !

alex, I have only seen photos of the MCTAGS turret mounted on an armored cab. It is a shame that Black Dog has such bad QC. I have contemplated buy their armor for the MTVR Mk 23. I may have to evaluate that now. Can you send the Black Dog set back? Any vendor should take an obviously defective item back.

Alex, I stand corrected! I live near enough to Camp Pendleton that I regularly see USMC convoys on the freeway. The other morning I saw a convoy of mostly Mk 23 trucks with a few M1151s thrown in. Three Mk 23 in various bed configurations without the armored cab had MCTAGS on them. These are of course stateside and not deployed assets but there you go, MTVR without armor with MCTAGS.

I would think Blackdog would be willing to replace a bad kit regardless of where or how you acquired it. 50/50 chance anyway. I would certainly contact them on it.
