Just want to say hello. My name is Tim. I use to be into armor builds pretty seriously back in the late '90s early 2000s. Kinda got burnt out and other interests took over, but I still have an old stash of kits tucked away. Recently I got inspired to start building again and pulled this old Italeri 234/4 out. I'm amazed at all the new kits that are out now, along with the accessories and tools. I found this great stuff called Panzer Putty and used it to create the camo paint job on this model. Air brushed Model Masters enamels, Oils, cheap craft acylics and pastels were used to weather this example.

I have that kit in my stash. Nice to see that it can be built into a very nice looking model. I haven't gone out an replaced a lot of my old kits in the stash with the newer latest greatest releases. And I don't think that I will have to....
Nice job.

Welcome back to the hobby Tim. Great job on the kit, especially the subtle weathering finish.

I too have quite a few older kits in my stash that have probably been surpassed by newer ones at least 2 or 3 times. Some kits I build are simply "So this is what a Pz IV looks like next to a Leopard II". I really don't care if each model is an exact copy of the real life item. I save the super detailed model builds for items I am particularly interested in. Maybe only 1 in 10 models gets any updated photo etch or resin upgrade. I love the new Leo kits by Meng, Takom, etc. but really couldn't care if a reviewer states that the backside of the road wheels is not an exact replica of the real life item. Excellent work on this model.
