Did the Germans use the same red primer on their softskins that they used on tanks?

My guess would be yes.
Since the leadoxide primer was about the only decent cheap rust protection around in that era.

I would have to go with what crossbow said. I can't for sure, but I've never seen / heard of anything that said otherwise. I could be wrong, but I don't think so.
