Hi Guys, Here's a couple of updated photos of my small dio of a Japanese type 97 in a jungle setting using plastic aquarium plants for the jungle foilage. Plastic plants were primed with dark green and then several different shades of green were used on individule plants. I still need to do some dry brushing and some dusting with pastels to blend everything. I 'm pretty happy with the way it's going so far. Let me know what you think

You have done an amazing job with these plastic plants. They look really nice. I can't tell from this picture, but is there any underbrush/undergrowth around the base of these plants? If not, you should definitely add some.

Thanks Marty, I plan on putting some grass and low ground cover under the plants before I'm done

Nice!!! the paintjob looks like it went great.. I like the blooms on the plant. From
my perspective i think the selection and placement of the plants help with the
realism.. 2 or 3 intermixed varietys just like you would see on a section of road.
I'd go with previous critiques and add some underbrush if you can.. Great job!!

Hi Pfc, Process is quite simple. I cut the plastic aquarium plants to the size I want and plant them in a wet celluclay base. After the base dries I spray all of the plants with a dark flat green as a primer. I used a special paint I found in hobby lobby for florist in a color called moss green. After that comes the hard part. I hand painted each leaf using the cheap hobby paints found in hobby lobby and walmart. There are lots of variations of green. Then dry brush and use pastels to blend and give it a dusty look. Its really not hard and not that expensive either. It just takes a little time
