I have a couple Dragon kits still in the box. Been looking at a few others. Not familiar with all of their kits. What is a Smart kit? The kits I have come with Magic Tracks. I see other kits with NEO tracks and DS tracks. DS tracks look like rubber bands....guessing they are better than the Tamiya rubber band tracks. Are they any good or should they be replaced with a better alternative? Similar question with the NEO tracks. I see they come in sections, and Dragon claims they are highly detailed. Thoughts of these compared to Magic Tracks? I have some Fruilmodel track sets I'm working on for some current kits I have. To me, on a tank, the tracks are a main feature and one of the first things a viewer will look closely at. So I like them to look good.

Magic Tracks are an okay alternative to metal.

DS should be okay if you avoid enamels, although some say they do fall apart and crumble with age.

If you don't mind the cost, metal is the best,I personally don't want to use them on every build,I do like the Magic Tracks once you get the hang of them.

A cheaper alternative for metal is Spade Ace Metal Tracks.

DS tracks as I understand are "Dragon Styrene".

This video explains the various types of Dragon kits, i.e. Premium, smart, etc. It may be helpful.

Wow.....might be more confused now than before. Lol A lot of variables with some of these kits with all the reboxes and such. Hopefully the three Dragon kits I have a good ones. I'll list what I have for you experts to let me know if I have a lemon or not, lol. The video was helpful though as far as what to avoid. I have my eye on several more models, still debating and researching manufactures to find the best kit for each model I want. Listed below are the Dragon kits I have still in the box-

Sd.kfz.131 Panzerjager II fur Pak40/2 Marder II, Early #6769

StuG III Ausf.G Smart Kit #6320

Sd.Kfz.184 Elefant w/Zimmerit #6465

When I want to learn about a kit,I usually Google the kit number and there's usually a review or blog out there.
