Dragon has announced an interesting M67 flamethrower used by the US military. Nicknamed the “Zippo”, it was originally based on an M48A1 tank hull, with the usual 90mm gun replaced with an M6 flame gun.

The M67 was an unusual animal. Originally on the M48A1, production Marine vehicles were on M48A2 hulls and then converted to diesel engines. So some had the three return rollers of an M48A2 hull.

Great news, have been waiting for a kit of that one for years!

Plus Dragon generally price their M48s reasonably, unlike their other kits. Or at least the price comes down faster.

Cheers,

I hope they include the earlier fenders and machine gun turret without riser. Most photos of M67 in 'Nam show them with the earlier fenders and MG turret.

If it only has the M48A3 based M67 parts in the box, there is an easy fix to get an M48A2 based M67. Simply buy the M48A2 kit and swap out the M67 specific part and use them on the M48A2. You will then still have a complete M48A3 as well.
