Found these on Twitter this afternoon. If the translation is correct they're in Northern Syria.
Anyone have any other pictures of this new blast panel or deck armor configuration and rear M240 mount? Or info on this Stryker upgrade? Looks like new headlight config as well...
[ Interesting, it is in Syria. http://syria.liveuamap.com/en/2017/4-march-geolocation-confirms-us-army-stryker-in-syria--passing ]

Looks like it could be the newer Strykers with the 'W' shaped lower hull. In Canada we have the LAV 6.0, pretty much a new vehicle compared to the LAV-III. Not a simple conversion for existing Stryker kits.

Interesting. I do have to wonder why they would have taken off the slat armor. Given how common ATGM's are over there, can't imagine why they would downgrade protection on these vehicles, unless they plan to keep them far away from the front lines.
Personally, I think any armored vehicle in Syria / Iraq should have an active protection system as mandatory equip. Just adding armor isn't enough. plenty of vidoes out there of knocked out Turkish AFV's, upgraded M60's and recently, a good number of Leopard II's.
Not a safe area for armored vehicles.
