I did espy in an an old magazine from the 70s an article on Dodge trucks used by the British in Burma. It was claimed they used a "khaki brown" colour. I was hoping to confirm what colour would be best as I want to replicate a Dodge Beep converted to a water tanker. The photo looked really cool. Cheers

Probably US OD No.9, as supplied. I very much doubt brown, which would have implied being built to a British contract while that was the specified colour but brown was only used because the UK had a shortage of CrO for the green pigment for a while.

Of course interpreting monochrome photos is always a bit of a game but as I recall, the official British FE scheme was green most of the time anyway (SCC13 from late 42/early 43). Photo captions are notoriously unreliable in my experience so unless the author provides evidence to substantiate brown, I'd go with OD or, if repainted, SCC13.

Thanks! I just found a couple of more references which confirm that. It appears a Canadian or UK built vehicle in the later period would be SCC 15 - the equivalent of OD - while US built vehicles would have been OD. Supposedly SCC faded to a different hue. At any rate, OD it is. Thanks again for the lead.
