I'm trying to build a chain link fence, but am not overly keen on PE as it looks too flat. I've seen fabrics material and the Diodump item, but they have an incorrect weave (crossover as opposed to interlinked). I'm sure I read somewhere that one of the dio companies had brought a 'correct' type of fence, but I can't find it anywhere. Any ideas?

The question is what scale? Several model railroad manufacturers carry lines of chain link fencing, in 1/87 (HO) scale and in 1/48 (OO) scale. A few can be adopted to other scales. But I doubt that any have the criss-cross weave of the real thing. Try the Walthers catalog. They used to carry several brands. They are out of The USA.

Head to the Fabric store, look for a product called Tulle. It's a net like material that comes in various opening size and shapes that usually looks convincing. it might be flat.

Another option would be Aluminum window screen.

Sorry - 1/35 scale. I have looked at Tulle, but again nothing with the distinctive interlinked pattern. Maybe I'm being too picky..?
