I just saw this over at ML in the new products category:

It is a 1/72 scale conversion by Minitracks, not my scale, but I'd love to do that in 1/35 scale. There are some 3D printed Reibel guns available at Shapeways. I have never seen this mount before, does anyone have any photos or info on the real thing?

I guess the one fitted to the SOMUA turret should'nt be much different. As you can see, it blocks the TC exit when fitted, that's probably why it was not very popular with the crews...

Thanks Henri-Pierre, It does not look very practical, but it appeals to me because it is very different. I am not very familiar with french tanks, is it possible to tell from that angle which model Hotchkiss that is, the running gear does not look to me like an H series? and do you have any more info or suggestions where I could search for more? I have searched the web using every keyword combination I could think of, but yours is the only photo I have seen.

That is Renalult R35, not Hotchkiss. Reibel might have been removed from coaxial MG to AAMG,as turret is very cramped
