Im converting Tamiya's Leopard 2A6 to a Canadian Leopard 2A6M
and im wondering if the belly armor is a standard item or is it just used in the combat zone

Hi!
The belly armour is standard on Leopard 2A6 M (M=Mine protection). It is not part of the frontal armour, but part of the mine protection kit. Also fitted in peacetime.

Leopard Workshop will soon have a complete conversion kit for the Canadian 2A6M CAN. It will be ready in 4-6 weeks time.

So the appique armor on the glasis is that also fitted in peace time as well or only in the combat zone?

Yes, permanently fitted as is the belly plate.
