Trying to do some Six Day War IDF infantry. What would be the best figures to modify to make them?

Have you looked at using British figures. I'm currently in the process of trying to come up with Iraq-Iran war figures I figured soviet torso's from the 1970-1990's. I figure for yours you could use british torso's and american torso's from WWII

Try with US Paras from late WW2. Presumably with corcoran boots rather than double buckle. Suspenders are ok, might have a bit of reworking of the pockets.. Helmets shall be problematic, but use nylon stockings for netting...
