The US Army is testing the Howe and Howe Tech's "Ripsaw" tank again, but this is is a smaller remote-controlled version as seen in the upcoming movie, "Fast and Furious 8."
Personally, I'd like to see it used as an arctic (or desert) combat vehicle, just like in the movie since the US Army lacks dedicated arctic vehicles except snowmobiles.

More of an AFV than a tank.

It looks like a cross between a WWII German Goliath RC tank and a Hetzer.

I would make for a great fire support vehicle or scout(more likely).

Cool. Definitely more suped up than the fast attack vehicle (DPV) and IFAV Mercedes (certainly more expensive). It would be nice if they get adopted for both arctic and desert. Too bad that DPV never got produced as a 1/35 plastic kit. If this gets adopted by the military, some of us will have a lot of fun building a scratch-built 1/35 model based on the reference photos and the 1/24 model.

Thanks for sharing Peter.
Happy modeling!

Hello Peter,
The arctic areas seem to be gaining more interest. We have had the M973 Small Unit Support Vehicle (SUSV) in service since the mid eighties. I believe that it is based on the PBV206.

The info page said:
"The company describes the 750-horsepower, optionally manned EV2 — which is capable of reaching speeds of almost 100 miles per hour and costs roughly $250,000 — as a “handcrafted, limited-run, high-end, luxury super tank developed for the public and extreme off road recreation.”
If a ever win the lottery I'm getting one.
