I finally got around to taking some in-progress pics of my M3 75mm conversion. This is from Tamiya's M21 and Warrior's (formerly Kendall Model Company) kits. Both kits have their problems such as sink-marks, warp-age, and indecorums, though nothing that could not be fixed.
The following pics are just of the fighting compartment. The seats, the .50cal mount, another storage box still need to be added and a few other little things, but not till after painting. On the outside, I'll be removing the tie-downs and replacing them with some scratched ones.
I know you can not make out too much with these, but in the next few days, I'll be posting progressive pics that will show this vehicle coming together.

Hi Ken, I realize Im here to critique this build ..and all I can think of is..Wooo way cool. I did notice one thing though...the jerry cans are empty! Would they not have been full?

Looks great... I've always wanted to build this conversion.

One thing that I question... are the boxes that are mounted externally on the real wall, going the right way? I would think that the cover hinges would be up against the wall...?

This has always been my favorite halftrack conversion... I look forward to seeing more!

Kevin, yes it is odd, but they do open out-ward. The crew could more easily access them from the fighting compartment.

Ken it is nice to see the added detail of the rivits etc and also the level of detail on the inside. Are you going to change the molded on tarp hooks to scratch built wire items? I look forward to seeing more in progress pics of this.

one thing,..the jerry cans have no handles, or have you left them off for some reason?

Cliff, yes I already scratched the replacement tie-downs and just need to shave off the molded-on ones. Man, they are tiny.

Joe, the jerry cans have just been placed there for the photos. I still need to add their handles and caps. I do not want too many things in the way for the sake of easier painting.
