rather than continue to post on the review thread of Legend's 1/35 SEAL (a great review that it is), I'll start this one where I hope to chronicle my build of this outstanding figure...

Cleaning up the torso, arms, and legs, I did notice a few air bubbles, and a bit of flash. This was a bit of a surprise to me, but nothing insurmountable. The casting blocks are problematic to remove, but this can be achieved with a few passes of the handy-dandy Dremel, and a sharp blade.

On opening the package, and starting to remove resin, there is a noticeable solvent smell.

More later, as I have to go to work shortly

Yes, there's a strong solvent smell...fresh off the casting molds!

Nonetheless, the figure looks great...lots of parts and details for a good price!

I look forward to seeing your progress, Kylie!

Pete,

did you notice that there are spares for the radio antenna included?

And, the mag well is hollow. But fouled by the casting block.

Am still working on the clean up in prep for priming, and then painting...

My wife thinks I'm studying...

No, I didn't inspect the parts. I removed the shrinkwrap, opened the box, and then noticed the huge smell of gasoline so I closed the box and stored it in my stash. I didn't even get a chance to open the plastic bag and inspect the parts.

One day I need to take the kit outside and have it air out all the solvent before I fiddle with it.
