Are Dragon only supplying DS tracks in this kit?
I had this kit when it first came out in 2006 and it included Magic tracks.

Those are the DS tracks from my Panther G with zimmerit 6384. That's why I'm not buying their kits lately.
Maybe they should rename them DS cracks...
Regards,
You should email that photo to Dragon
For the life of me I can't understand why they keep putting them in their kits, surely they must know we hate them and they still insist on supplying them instead of magic tracks.

G'day Karl
Interestingly, recently I completed the DML Sturminfantriegeschutz (the 15cm gun on a Pz III chassis with the big boxy superstructure) and it contained both magic tracks and DS tracks. Just as well, because AK Track Wash just about wrecked the DS ones.
Maybe DML are beginning to listen?
Regards
Rob

I pretty much count on everything from Dragon coming with DS tracks these days. Even if the box says otherwise. DS tracks are just awful.

I tried their customer service for missing parts of another kit and didn't get reply.
So decision is simple-not buying their kits and my money will go for kits from Miniart (they supply workable tracks lately and they look very good), Meng etc.
Cheers

I totally agree on the DS Track issues, and I don't use them myself either, but there are actually a lot of modelers, who really likes them.
The argument for and against the different types of tracks is a never ending story, which can't be won, but why Dragon don't provide both kinds in every kit is a real mystery to me. I mean, look at all those not to use parts on every sprue in the box. If the argument is about the price of styrene vs DS rubber bands, it really don't make sense, since a bag of Magic Tracks can't be THAT expencive, as They already have the molds.
Just my 2 cents...

Do a Google search on DS tracks and the result comes up with a lot of angry modelers,I suppose if your new to modelling or your the type of person who installs them before painting they ain't so bad.
What annoys me is they supply them with Panzer III and Panzer IV kits which have a natural track sag and is hard to replicate any sag at all.
I bet friul are rubbing their hands together as profits will be up
So the only option is boycott Dragon until they get the message.

Or, maybe Dragon secretly own Friul and all other AM track manufactors....Ahh, everything is starting to come together in a world wide conspiracy

Almost all of the dragon re runs have the DS now even the King tiger kits as well.
I'm not bothered as I use fruils now after disintegrated tracks from washes both DS and magic I tend to not bother either way, I sell the tracks off for around 10 bucks an drew im amazed at how quick they sell both DS and magic tracks.
I don't want to flog a dead horse but dragon do need to pull their heads in a little with prices and how re runs of previous kits are minus metal barrels and etch.
Cheers Ben.
