So, i had taken to mind to equip my leo 2a6m from revell with all kinds of foilage, starting from camo net.
That had me pondering how to make it, easiest would be to use some leaves and some thin surface to later mount on kit right?
So i went ahead and experimented a bit, first on m2a2 bradley.

Looks decent in my opinion, happy with it.

Looking good to me. Where are the vehicles from? Roco Minitanks?

All are from Revell and in 1/72 scale.

have you tried the really fine medical gauze? I don't have any right on hand but that might be a better match, wiht some paper "leaves", you could use diamond shaped punched paper leaves, or cigarette paper leaves dyed or painted appropriate colors and punched out, ( at 1/72 they don't have to be perfect ) and add those for foliage

Have you tried nylon stockings? (But don't use your wife's good ones!) It's a much finer mesh than surgical gauze, and doesn't fall apart when you cut it. Tulle mesh (used on wedding dresses, veils, etc.) is also available, but is usually too stiff for convincing camo netting.

I thought of using some mesh material but thought it stayed, also it'd be alot more difficult to make the net, as the way i did it is very simple and straight foward.
Some illustrative pics of process
Some painted and wrinkled foil(thin is good and one can make holes into it)

Next up is coat of white paint diluted by water and green leaves sprinkled onto it

And then comes paint(one can add ja some black as seen on nets with airbrush)

Pictures apprently dont do it any favours, moreover they bring out flaws, such as uncovered edges.
Hope it was helpful

Well done. What are you using for the nets themselves
Cheers

The light green stuff is either this
http://www.noch.com/en/product-categories/model-landscaping/grass-meadows-fields/scatter-material/scatter-material-light-green-08410.html
Or this

I used former as LHS didn't have any leaves.
