Well boys and girls, here it is....... If this works well, you can now get ALL of the remaining 110 pictures in 2560 x 1920!
Here is the catch, I need you to let me know how it goes for you. Is it too slow? Do you have problems? Is it liveable?
If this works out, I will be putting up a whole new server and all the pictures on my site will go back to the full size images!
I do need your feedback though, so please let me know.
Don

I suppose I will get more feedback if I remember to give you the link!
Wow, Don... This is great, but way too many to download them one by one manually... I just started "Teleport" tool that will try to download them automatically - I will let you know how long it took to get them all.

Tried download with cable took 5 minutes to get one plus some more time here central time 4:45 AM!
When you had it other way had all in that time less then that!!
I gave up after 5 minutes the upload from them is slow,Could be because I run thru a router!!
Will try later in the day after work but by then more folks will be trying and I think that it will get slower not faster!!
Another Edit .
Thumbnail page loaded real fast!!

OK, I have them all - it took about 2 hours. I really "sucked" on the server (4 to 10 download sessions at once), so it is possible that there was just not enough bandwidth left for Jeff

I guess that answers that question. I will leave these in place until I can get a better solution running. Before when I did only 5 at a time, they were hosted on my regular site. This was a test of a secondary location that I knew was at a slower speed, but I was hoping it would still be fast enough.

In my opinion, it was better the old way, just to put a few high- res pictures online.
I just lost the overview.
Maybe not five but maybe 10 high- res pictures at once.

Takes about 15 seconds each. Fine one at a time. However it takes a while to do the whole set.

Hi Don,
It take 3 hours to download manually all the pics. I make this at 7 Hours AM, here in France.
Can't you put the files in a Zip file or some thing like that ?
Thanks again fot these nice pics.

Pascal, I haven't looked at zipping them into one large file. I will play with that on my end and see if there is any compression to be had.
If everyone else can continue posting feedback as to the amount of time it is taking for downloading, it would be greatly appreciated.

Runs a little slower at night!!
Cause of all the Folks looking at P0rN.
Just kidding bandwidth slows down at night normally cause of all the folks on the puter!!
averaging about 40 seconds per or a little more!!
To zip them I don't think unless you had a site set to do it I know AOL has a limit of 17 megs per mail!!
As each picture goes around 1.9 megs some a little over 2 megs would be a trip

At the speeds you are seeing, would it be acceptable for downloading on the long term? I am thinking about throwing all the images on my site back up to full size.

The page loaded fine, but took over 5 minutes for each photo to load, then took another 3 minutes to download each photo.
I use cable, and pity those who try to do this with dial-up.
Perhaps smaller size photos would be the answer.
The first page, with the smaller size photos loaded with no problem, and each photo took only seconds to load, and download.

I have finished moving these images over to a different server, so if you haven't got all of them yet, it should be a lot easier now. If you had problems yesterday, try again. The page was screwed up for a while during the transfer. Here is the new URL
