Equipment straps for figures question

Hi everyone; I am trying for the first time to make straps for rifles, etc. for 1/35 figures; is tape a good choice of material or is there something better? Also how do I attach straps to figure? Sticky side of tape (if used) or glue? If so what kind of glue? Thanks

Tape is good, the foil from wine bottles is good too (also good fun emptying the bottles). Use super glue to attach the straps.

Yes, only trouble is I have more foil material than I can ever use on figures!

you can use same tape but dont use Sticky side of tape becose over time the adhesive will deteriorate use in stead a little pva white or superglue is even better

Lead foil like this: http://www.scale-world.nl/e-store/products/357/9129/ is about the best stuff to use. It shapes easily and holds it's shape, and glues well with CA. All these weapons slings were made with lead foil:
with PE buckles and hooks.
