Hi fellas,
Quick question. I'm currently working on a 1:35 scale diorama set in Normandy, and part of it will be a field/pasture. However, I only have Woodland Scenics static grass, which is 2mm as far as I understand. I want some 6mm and 10mm for realism and variety, but Amazon's selection is nill and there appear to be few places to get it at a reasonable price in the US. Anyone have a good supplier of 6mm and 10mm static grass in the US?

I've got a pack of this stuff--it's like applying a hair transplant, but looks real good:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/PECO-Scene-PSG-603-Static-Grass-6mm-Autumn-Grass-20G-NEW-MODELRRSUPPLY-com-/152295169454?hash=item23757fddae:g:e9oAAOSwV0RXudYA
And I have also used these tufts in other scenes:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Miniature-Model-Self-Adhesive-6mm-Static-Grass-Tufts-Grass-Sampler-Pack/332176356659?_trksid=p2047675.c100005.m1851&_trkparms=aid%3D222007%26algo%3DSIC.MBE%26ao%3D2%26asc%3D40130%26meid%3D0738938993634bddbd0b96eea6b3994d%26pid%3D100005%26rk%3D3%26rkt%3D6%26sd%3D332168760142
Both sellers are good folk and ship quickly.

hi
being native from normandy I can tell ou that the standard 2mm static grass is actually good for the scale, pastures there are not like wild prairies
you can add some tuffs here and there but generally the pastures are quite low, even during summer.
hope this helps

Good company and have ordered from them many times.

Here is some beach sand from Normandy - grayish tan in color - not like ours here in the northeast USA - Hope this is of use to you

I would go a touch grayer than the photo suggests.
Cheers -Richard
