Hello,

Does anyone have any reference pictures of the insides of the storage lockers found on the fenders?

I want to do a bit of scratch building to have the lockers workable but I need information on the detail found inside the locker (i.e. Detail on the underside of the cover, the actual locker space, etc, etc.) I know that Verlinden has a detail set for the storage lockers but they are only for 1/35 scale, will be doing this for a 1/16 scale pershing.

Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Ok! I'll do my best to have the pics done asap. In the meantime go ahead with the rest...

P.S.: Anyway I'm quite sure that there will be nothing that special in these stowage boxes...

There may not be anything special in the locker, but I do know that the locker door has some form of structural bracing and I have absolutely no idea what the latching mechanism or this bracing looks like on the inside, all of this is visible of coarse, when the storage lockers are open.

The only shot I have seen of the locker open was too far away and in B&W to make out any usable information of it's structure.

I'm looking forward to what you find out.

Thanks again scoccia!!

Hey T-Link, the Signal/Squadron book on the Pershing/Patton has a pic of said lockers, open, with stowage in them. If you have access to that book, you could look there....if not, lemme know, I'll see if I can work something out!

PS: About to bust my Pershing out and get started myself!!
